Bio
Ann (Hromas) Covert, 87, Utica, died Jan. 21, 2005. She was born Nov. 4, 1917, in rural Garland, to Alois and Anna (Malina) Hromas. She attended the Garland and Beaver Crossing schools. She married Floyd Wesley Covert on March 9, 1936. She was a wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Utica United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd W. Covert, on March 10,1989, sisters, Christina Walla, Albina Bejvancesky, Vema Eikenhorst and Mary Dolezal, brothers, Adolph, Louis, Joe and Frank Hromas, and sons-in-law, Carl Hansen and Leland "Sam" Lister. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Kathy Covert, Utica, Bob and Jane Covert, Beaver Crossing, and Burt and Wanda Covert, Utica, and daughters and sons-in-law, Bonnie and Charles Eret, Seward, Betty Lister, York, Beverly Thompson, Lincoln, and Becky and Ron Hulse, Utica. Funeral services were Jan. 24 at the Utica United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael Laing officiating. Interment was at the Utica Cemetery. Casketbearers were Bill, Bob, Brad and Burt Covert, Charles Eret and Ron Hulse. Honorary casketbearers were Dan, Dave, Bill, Tim and Angelo Covert and Rick and David Thompson.
