Deanna Cox, 82, of Kansas City, Missouri died peacefully on September 7, 2022, with her family at her side. Dee was born to Fritz and Nora Obermiller, July 6, 1940, in Loup City, Nebraska. She graduated from Loup City High School and Mary Lanning School of Nursing in Hastings, NE. In 1961, she married Larry Cox. Dee dedicated her life to caring for others. Her kind and gentle manner endeared her to her patients, but none more so than her family and friends. Her talent was exemplified in designing and constructing wedding dresses for her daughters. She was as a fine spring rain after a dry winter. She is survived by her husband and daughters, Catherine (Rick) Dobkin and Jennifer (Marvin "Pony") Meyer; sister, Nancy (Jerry) Rowe; brother, Doug (Chris) Obermiller; and sister-in-law, Deborah Obermiller; four grandchildren Madison St. John, Lincoln Meyer, Tess and Sophie Dobkin; and two great grandchildren, Oliver and Knox St. John.
