Bio

Dwayne J. Sisel, age 65 of Lincoln, passed away August 18, 2022 with his family by his side after a long battle of Alzheimer's. Dwayne was born on March 5, 1957 in Lincoln to Louis and Lucille (Foral) Sisel. He graduated from Lincoln Northeast in 1976. In 1978, he graduated with an associates of applied science degree from Southeast Community College in Milford in the automotive repair technology program. He worked for BNSF as a mechanic and machinist for 38 years. On September 5, 1981, he married Cheryl Tobler at St Patrick's Catholic Church in Lincoln. Dwayne loved to watch westerns, hunt, fish, and go camping. He loved to tinker in the garage where he enjoyed woodworking and building things. He also enjoyed working on his acreage, planting trees, and gardening. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also loved going on walks with his loyal dog Marley. And he was very proud to pass down his Catholic faith to his family. Dwayne is survived by his wife Cheryl (Tobler) Sisel of 40 years Son Daniel (Alicia) Sisel with grandchildren Katelyn, Hannah, Emily, and Cody Daughter Melissa Sisel with grandchild Brayden Sisel Daughter Michelle (Nick) Kramer with grandchildren Wyatt, Weston, and Daisy Siblings Ken (Darla) Sisel, Diane (Dale) Etmund, Dale (Marcene) Sisel, and Kay (Dean) Keating Brother-in-laws Mike Johnson and Delvin (Pat) Tobler Mother-in-law Elda Tobler Along with many nieces and nephews He is preceded in death by his parents Louis and Lucille, infant brother Louis Jr, sisters and brother-in-law Lucille (Bill) Baker and Louise Johnson, and father-in-law Dale Tobler. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at St Patrick's Catholic Church in Lincoln. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12 pm to 7 pm at Butherus Maser and Love funeral home. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to St Patrick's Catholic Church or Alzheimer's Association.
