Mary Vacek Morris Funeral services for Mary Vacek Morris, 67, of Midfield, were held at 2 p. m. today at St. Peter's Catholic Church, Blessing, where the Rev. Dan O'Brien officiated. Burial was in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Blessing. Mrs. Morris was born Oct. 7, 1917, in Fayette County, Texas, and died Dec. 8, 1984, at Matagorda General Hospital. A resident of Midfield for six years, she was a member of the Catholic church. Survivors include: her mother, Mary Vacek of Midfield; a brother, Robert Vacek of Guy, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Morris; her father, Peter Vacek; and brothers Julius and Pete Vacek. Her nephews served as pallbearers.
