SAN ANGELO - Christine Margarite Kohutek Mitchell, 92, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 8, 2004. Christine was born Aug. 9 1911 in Granger, Texas. Her parents were Rosie Kaspar of Vsetin, Austria-Hungary, and Frank Kohutek of Budapest, Austria-Hungary. She was married to James T. Mitchell Feb. 1, 1941, in San Angelo, Texas. Christine was a homemaker and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church. She was active in the Sunday school class and church choir. Some of her many hobbies were gardening, fishing and bowling. She spent many loving hours teaching the art of fishing to her grandchildren and received many awards while a member of the Texas Women's Bowling Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Mitchell. She is survived by her sisters, Mary Perotti and Emma Trojcak, both of San Angelo, Texas; her daughter, Janeene Green of San Angelo; her son, James P. Mitchell of Fort Worth, Texas; her granddaughters, Amy Gabriel, Laura Jackson and Sherri Lee, all of San Angelo; and grandsons, Richard Overland of San Antonio, James P. Jr. of Austin; six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and many beloved nephews and nieces. Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday, April 12, in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. The family of Christine Mitchell wishes to thank Shannon Medical Center, Dr. Peter Chang, Dr. Seifert, Dr. Flynn, the staff of Food and Nutrition Services, the ER, ICU, 4 North, Father Voity, Riverside Health Care Center, Immanuel Baptist Church and the Rev.
