Bio

John William Wheeler passed away on July 28, 2022, in Ovilla, Texas with his family by his side. He was born on January 25, 1949, to Lois Marion Wheeler and Dixie Mae (Keeton) Wheeler in Amherst, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe Nolan Wheeler; sisters, Raycene Wheeler and Phyllis Wheeler. John was a carpenter by trade. He could build anything you could ever need or want. He was the best handyman around. He enjoyed fishing, model airplanes, old cars and eating and visiting with family and friends. His grandchildren were his pride and joy and spending time with them was his favorite thing to do! Survivors include, sons, Dylan Wheeler and wife Anne, Daniel Wheeler and wife Melanie; grandchildren, Kylar Wheeler, Aden Wheeler, Jordan Wheeler, Evelyn Wheeler, Brooklyn Wheeler, Gabriel Wheeler; sisters, Bobbie Cannon and Linda Ford and husband Richard; also surviving are several nieces and nephews along with many friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2022, at 10:00 AM in the Autry's Carroll-Lehr Funeral Chapel. Burial to follow at Payne Cemetery.
