Bio
Services were held Dec. 28 at First Baptist Church of Archer City with Roger Deerinwater, pastor of the First Baptist Church, and John Welter, executive director of Faith Mission in Wichita Falls, officiating. He was born in Frisco to Curg and Hattie Copelin Pryor. He moved to Archer County in 1927. in Frisco to Curg and Hattie Copelin Pryor. He moved to Archer County in 1927. After the beginning of World War II, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served 37 months in the Pacific Theatre. He married Mildred Good on Dec. 31, 1945, in Fort Worth. He was preceded in death by one brother, Charles Pryor in 1965. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mildred of the home; one daughter, Jennifer Stalnaker and husband Danny of Henderson; one son, David Pryor and wife Tommi of Mineola; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Danny Pryor of Wautaga; five sisters, Betty Sutherland of Bridgeport, Marie Loftin of Windthorst, Catherine McCarty, Patsy Adams and Yvonne Quisenberry, all of Archer City; and many nieces and nephews.
