Bio
Parents: John and Jessie (Davis) Patterson She graduated from Hastings High School, with the class of 1946. On December 29, 1946, June was united in marriage to Donald Kottwitz. To this union, they were blessed with 7 children. After moving to Colorado in 1959, Don, June, and family lived in Berthoud, Loveland, Northglenn, Colorado Springs, Ft. Morgan, and Wiggins. June became a foster parent, eventually specializing in children with emotional difficulties. Through the years, June was "Mom" to over 400 children. After Don retired, the couple made their home in Greeley, Colorado where they lived for several years. With Don's passing, June moved to Holdrege, NE to be closer remaining family. June enjoyed collecting dolls, making candy for friends and neighbors, cooking for family gatherings and visiting places in Nebraska where she grew up that had special memories for her. Besides her husband, parents, and siblings, June was preceded in death by, two sons David Kottwitz, and Ricky Kottwitz; one grandson, Mike Sexson; and one great-grandson, Carter Hogen. June is survived by five children, 6 Grandchildren; 16 Great-Grandchildren; and 9 Great-Great Grandchildren.
