Bio
Robert F. "Bob", "Bobby" Peters of El Cajon, California, passed away May 25, 2021, at the Sharp Grossmont Hospital, La Mesa, California, at the age of 82. He was born on May 17, 1939, in North Platte, to Francis and Linda Peters. He attended St. Patrick High School in North Platte. Bob lived in various places in his early years, dependent primarily upon where his work took him. He was a jack-of-all-trades. He began as a heavy equipment operator, helping build Interstate 80 across Nebraska. Then he drove semitrailer trucks from the Texas Valley to New York. He eventually settled in the San Diego area where he managed his own lawn service. Bob never met a stranger and could have a lengthy conversation on any subject. While he lived in many places, he always called North Platte home. Robert is predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Francis LaVern and Charles Peters; and two sisters, Donna Risdal and Sharron Hagerud. Robert is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth "Liz" and husband, Jeff Mein, of Stanford, Kentucky; two sisters, Elizabeth Collamer of North Platte and Linda and husband, Albert Labuda, of Montgomery, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. Inurnment service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, at Floral Lawns Memorial Gardens in North Platte. Published by North Platte Telegraph on Jul. 24, 2022.O
