Bio
Marriage date: February 27, 1879. Children: one dozen; nine surviving to adulthood. It is unknown where the three that died as very young children are buried...their names: William Henry, Mary Frances & Bernice Lucille. These three died between 1884-1894. John's parents: William J. Boswell (died during the Civil War or shortly after, believed to have been a soldier) and Mary Jane Cook. Both were born in North Carolina. John's siblings: Marguerite/Margaret [married Simpson/Sampson Cain Roberts], William Stephen Boswell (served during the Civil War and died), Thomas Jefferson Boswell (served during the Civil War and survived), Nancy Jane [married "Wash" George Washington Campbell], "Jack" James Jackson Boswell, Josephine V. [married Benjamin Petrey], and Martha M. [married "Jim" James A. Williams].
