FRIONA - Faye Smith, 87, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2008. Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. today in Friona Cemetery with Mike Roberts officiating. Arrangements are by Blackwell Funeral Home. Mrs. Smith was a longtime Friona resident. She was a retired elementary schoolteacher for the Friona Independent School District. Survivors include four daughters, Esther Stout, Mary Ranner, Janet Smith and Judy Ponthieu, all of Lubbock; a brother, John Lamb of Waco; a sister, Rhea Foster of Lubbock; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Prairie Acres Nursing Home, 201 E. 15th St., Friona, TX 79035. Amarillo Globe-News, Jan. 26, 2008
