Bio
Daughter of Andrew Lawrence and Ellen Neoma (Davison) Price. She met James L "Pop" Dixon in the fourth grade, and they were married on November 24, 1943 in Pensacola, FL. She was a retired educator, and had earned her BS Degree from TWU and her Masters of Education from ETSTC. She taught schools within the Royse City, Garland, and Dallas School Districts for over 30 years in various positions. She remained an active member in the Texas Teachers Retirement Association. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Bridgeport. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband of 68 years, James "Pop" Dixon. Surviving are her son, James L "Dickie" Dixon, III and wife, Wanda of Lake Bridgeport; grandchildren, Price Dixon of Bridgeport, Rob Hawkins of Decatur, and Brant Hawkins and wife, Stacey of Bridgeport; great-grandchildren, Trey Hawkins, Chase Hawkins and wife, Randee, Tiffany Hawkins and fiancé, Luke Condron, and Raby Hawkins and wife, Kelsey; and great great-great-grandchildren, Hollyn, Carter and Hazel Jane Hawkins.
