Bio
Dale C. Maruska, 85, of Grand Island died Monday, January 25, 2021, at Tiffany Square Care Center in Grand Island. Dale C. Maruska was born December 20, 1935, at Burwell, NE to Carl L. and Helen (Kamarad) Maruska. He grew up in the Burwell and Comstock areas, graduating from Comstock High School in 1953. Dale entered the U.S. Army in 1960 and was honorably discharged in 1962. He spent two years in the active reserves, then two more years on inactive reserve. Dale married Linda Lowe on September 14, 1968, at Omaha, NE. The couple made their home in Grand Island. Dale worked as a scale technician for Toledo Scale for 28 years, servicing industrial scales. In his retirement, he worked part time for Sam's Club three days a week. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing the accordian. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Darrell; two brothers in law Leo Schaber and Jim Springer.
