Bio
Married Frantiska Kozlovsky on 16 October 1888. Her Death about 1898. Bartholome (spelling varies) came to the United States with his parents Bartholomej, age 45, mother Anna, age 43, sisters Frances 15, Appollonia 8, Rosina 3 and brother John, age 1. They sailed on the ship Hanover and arrived at the port of Galveston, Texas on 23 April 1880. They probably went by train (railroad) to Schulenburg in Fayette County, Texas where they settled and engaged in farming at Ellinger. Bartholome first married Franktiska "Frances" Kozlowsky on 10 Oct 1888. They were married by Father Vaclav Chlapik, Pastor, Saint Mary's Catholic Church of Live Oak Hill (near Ellinger). Bart, as he would later be known as, and Frances had four children before her death on 13 March 1898. He next married Hedwiga Blahuta on 24 May 1898. They were married by Rev. Severinas Niedbalski in the Praha Catholic Church. Hedwiga was the daughter of George (Jiri) and Anna Kolonicna Blahuta. On 18 June 1900, Bart and Hedwiga were enumerated in Fayette County. Along with his four children from his first marriage was his 67 year old widowed father Bartolomie Pekar. Bart and Hedwiga reportedly had two children but they died as infants. She died 28 Sept 1903 near Schulenburg and was buried at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Bart married Frances Kupcak on 14 Feb 1904 in St. John's Catholic Church. They soon moved to Williamson County where they would remain and raise their large family.
