Bio

The John E. Myer listed as informant on the death certificate is William's younger brother, born 1854. He also went to Montana, but after William did. William was the first born child to John and Sarah Myer. Single at death. Was a miner in Montana. Death certificate states born in Illinois, but he was actually born in Indiana. In 1850, the family was in Hanover Township in Shelby County Indiana. The children listed at that time were William, Age 5, Mary J., Age 3, and Cynthia S., Age 6 months. The children were all born in Indiana as stated in this census.
