Bio
Kinder– Disca Savant Jr., 90, of Kinder, passed away on May 8, 2022. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1970. He was a member of the American Legion #244 in Kinder, Louisiana. He is survived by his wife; Rosalee F. Savant, children; Debbie Savant May of Shreveport, LA, Michael D. Savant (Ann) of Indian Village, LA, Darrell Savant (Virginia) of Elton, LA, Theresa Williams (Steve) of Indian Village, LA, 13 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, 4 great great-grandchildren, special friend Bill Riggs, a host of family and friends. Disca is preceded in death by his 1st wife of 61 years; Dorothy Sternnadle Savant, son; Joe, grandson Joey, parents; Disca and Estelle Fontenot Savant Sr. Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at 12PM at The Grand Church in Kinder, LA. Pastor Paul Cavenah will officiate. Burial will follow in Indian Village Cemetery (at the side of Dorothy) under the direction of Reed-Riley Smith & Son's Funeral Home. The U.S. Air Force conducted graveside services with 21 gun salute, presented the flag, and played "Taps". Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Reed-Riley Smith & Son's Funeral Home from 10AM until 12PM.
