Indian Village-Dorothy "Ann" Sternnadle Savant, 77, of Kinder, passed away, Thursday March 7, 2013. Dorothy was born in Del Valle, Texas to Austria/Czech immigrants, Theresa and John Sternnadle in October 16, 1935. She later married an Airman, Disca Savant Jr. of Kinder in 1951. The couple continued their Air Force career raising their family of five, in various parts of the United States and Germany. Disca retired to Louisiana from the services in 1970. Dorothy devoted her life caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, John and James , two sisters Alice and Lena , one son John Joseph, Sr. (Joe) and one grandson John Joseph, Jr. (Joey / Bubba) Dorothy is survived by her husband of 61 years, Disca Savant, Jr of Kinder, two sisters Elizabeth LaFosse and Rosemary Hickman, one brother Roddy Sternnadle all of Austin, TX, children Mike (Ann) Savant, Theresa Savant of Kinder, Debbie May of Bossier City, LA and Darrell (Virginia) Savant of Walker, LA and 12 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren.
