WEST FORK, ARK.-- Gary Don Jones, age 79, a resident of West Fork, Ark., passed away Thurs., May 5, 2022, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. He was born Jan. 26, 1943, in Fayetteville, Ark., to Donal Ralph and Thelma Agnes (DryBread) Jones. Gary worked for years as a mechanic for McKnight's Garage and J.C. Penney, then became a driver for Willis Shaw Express, from which he retired. He then became the Transportation Director for West Fork Public Schools. He was a past member of the West Fork Volunteer Fire Dept. and had served as a part-time patrolman for West Fork Police Dept. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Mirinda, and brother Loy. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Mary Ellen, a son, Jimmy (Kathy), of West Fork, Ark., grandsons Matthew of Seattle, WA. and Jackson of West Fork, Ark., sister Carola Courtney of Livonia, MI., and numerous other family members.
