Kenneth Freeman Phillips, 73, of Iredell, died July 27th near Iredell. Funeral Services: 3:00 pm. Thursday, July 29, at Iredell First Baptist Church, with Revs. Richard Rust and Mike Patterson officiating, burial at Iredell Cemetery. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Gladys Phillips of Iredell, one daughter, Mrs. Gladys Sick of Iredell: two sons, Dale Phillips of Denton, Danny Phillips of Hamilton, three brothers, Wilson Phillips, Weldon Phillips both of Iredell, Clyde Phillips of Andrews, one sister, Mrs. T. P. Barnhill of Iredell, eight grandchildren, an umber of nieces nephews & other relatives. Brister-Lawson Funeral Home, Meridian. Obituary in Waco Tribune-Herald (July 29, 1982 pg 40)
