Ella Josephine Patak, age 89, passed away on April 27, 2022, in Waxahachie, Texas. Ella was born in Palmer, Texas on March 03, 1933, to Joseph and Rosie Pouzar. She was an active member of Saint John Nepomucene Church, as well as a member in the SPJST and KJZT organizations. She married Alphonse R. Patak on November 18, 1950, and lived most of her life in Ennis, Texas. She worked most recently as a Dental Assistant with Dr. Wendell Russell and with the H-E-B Bakery Department. Her real joy was baking and selling her homemade strudels and kolaches. Ella is survived by her daughter Denise Patak, daughter-in-law Suzi and her husband Bob Agar. Grandchildren, John and Stephanie Patak, Lauren (Patak) and Jono Morrison, Marcie (Patak) and Darby Smith. Great-grandchildren, Sam and Simon Patak, Claire and Michael Morrison, Amari and Avari Ann Smith, and brother Leslie Pouzar. She is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Rosie Pouzar, husband Alphonse R. Patak and son Marvin Patak, as well as her siblings, Charlie Pouzar Sr., Joe Pouzar, Bob Pouzar, Mary (Pouzar) Storey and Mildred (Pouzar) Bouska. Visitation for family and friends with Rosary was held at Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home in Ennis. Mass of Christian Burial was held at Saint John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Ennis, Texas. Interment followed at Saint Joseph Cemetery in Ennis.
