Fredrick "Freddy" Lee Holtzclaw, age 80, of Conroe, Texas, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2022, in Humble, TX. Freddy was born August 10, 1941, in Ellenwood, Georgia to Hoke Hubert Holtzclaw and Exie Wynn. It is with extreme sadness that we gather for the passing away of our brother and friend, Fredrick Lee Holtzclaw. He went by the name Freddy most of his life and later in life, Fred. He was very funny and had a pretty good attitude about life. He could make you laugh so hard about how he looked at things. He was such a clown, from working on bicycle, cars or even out fishing. Any activity he was involved with, he made you laugh. I think that was what he lived for. All the nurses in any of the hospitals would always tell us about how he kept them laughing. One of the nurses told us before his stroke, "Yesterday, he seemed fine, he was joking around and making us laugh so hard". He lived a low-keyed life and he never wanted to be a burden on anyone. You could count on him to love you and he always showed lots of concern if he knew someone in the family was sick or in distress. Freddy made a profession of faith several years ago and we saw fruit in his life that only the Holy Spirit could produce. Freddy lived a simple life, he was not pretentious or fake, you always knew where he was coming from. We will miss our brother Freddy. I'm believing that he is in Heaven with our Lord and for all the grief he went through in life, it's over and now he understands what it was all about now. Freddy was preceded in death by his father, Hoke Hubert Holtzclaw, mother, Exie Holtzclaw, 6 siblings: Harold Hoke Holtzclaw, Betty Joyce Fears, Annette Virginia Pearson, Carl Burnice Holtzclaw, Ruby Irene Clark and Franklin Eugene Holtzclaw. He is survived by two sons, Rocky Holtzclaw and Rodney Holtzclaw; five siblings, Barbara Yvonne Sanders, Peggy Ruth Duggan, Benney Lamar Holtzclaw, Larry Fayette Holtzclaw and Brenda Faye Spann; as well as many nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
