Bio

Donald R. Hayes, 55, of Amarillo died Tuesday, March 4, 2003. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Llano East Cemetery with the Rev. Robert Field, Baptist minister, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Hayes, born in McAlister, Okla., lived in Amarillo most of his life. He worked as a restaurateur and was a member of Southeast Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvie and Rachel Hays; and a brother, Dale Hayes. Survivors include a daughter, Christie Hayes of Houston; and a special friend, Linda Austin of Amarillo. Amarillo Globe-News, March 6, 2003
