Grand Island (Nebraska) Daily Indenpendent Downey, Calif - Andrew C. Kuta, 82, of Downey, Calif., formerly of St. Edward, died Saturday, Dec. 18 in California. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Edward Catholic Church. The Rev. Edward Gill will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery with military rites by Crossier American Legion Post 226. Miller-Levander Funeral Home of St. Edward is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Kuta was born on Nov. 23, 1911, in Tarnov to John and Anna (Korus) Kuta. He attended school through the ninth grade. He married Eleanor Werner on Sept. 2, 1942, at the St. Edward Catholic Church. He entered the service in 1942 and served until his discharge in 1943. The couple moved to California where he worked as a machine operator for the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. until his retirement in 1973. Survivors include his wife: three daughters, Jeanie Kuta. . . Nancy Kuta. . . and Mary Lynn Jones. . ; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
