Cynthia (Cindy) Kay Arland of Miller, SD passed away peacefully on March 30, 2022 at her daughter's home in Jamestown, ND. Cindy was born on February 13, 1959 in Miller, SD to Keith and Geraldine (Smith) Speirs. Cindy grew up in the town of Miller, and graduated from Miller High School. She married John Arland on (May 23rd, 1981). At the First United Methodist Church in Miller SD. They had two children together, Keith and Samantha, and John's sons Cody and Kelly. Cindy had a great love for her family, her sons and daughter, and her grandchildren. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling and camping and enjoying the outdoors. Cindy managed a bar/restaurant in Alpine, WY; managed a Hotel in Miller, SD; managed the lunch program of Wessington school district, was food services manager at the Miller Hospital, and Program Manager of the lunch program for Miller school district. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Arland; parents, Keith and Geraldine Speirs; Parents-in-law Orville and Ida Arland; brothers, Steve Speirs and Gary Lee Speirs (infant); Sister, Fran Blair; brothers-in-law, Stephen Blair and Ray Sawdy; Sister-in-law Bonnie Willson; Grandma Alice Timm and niece, Tara Koeck.
