RICHARD VICK DYER Publication Date: December 9, 2005 SAN ANGELO — Richard Vick Dyer went home to be with Jesus on Monday, Dec. 5, 2005, at the age of 57. Family and friends of Richard Vick Dyer will be celebrating his life at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10, at TLC — A Family Church, with the Rev. Walt Landers officiating. Graveside service will follow in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. A visitation will be held for family and friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, at Johnson's Funeral Home. Richard Vick Dyer was born Aug. 17, 1948, in San Angelo to Emerson and Neita Dyer. Richard was born and raised in San Angelo. He attended and graduated from San Angelo Central High School. He also attended Angelo State University. On June 21, 1969, he married the love of his life, Marsha Sue Bradford. Richard had a passion for music and loved his job in Law Enforcement as a Deputy Sheriff. He has many friends in the San Angelo area and abroad as a result of having a great sense of humor and loving ways. He will be missed immensely by both family and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Marsha, of 36 years; his daughter, Stephanie, and her husband, David Parker Jr., of San Angelo; three sweet grandchildren, Ian Chandler, Madison Grace and Isabella Morgan; his brother and sister-in-law, Rodney and Norma Dyer, of San Angelo; his brother, Johnnie Dyer, of Spokane, Wash.; and many nieces, nephews and other special family members, all of whom he loved very much. We, the immediate family, wish to extend a heartfelt gratitude to family and friends who have been such a strength and blessing during Richard's 15-year illness. To the nurses, nurse's aides and staff who worked with Richard at Baptist Memorials, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the way you cared for and loved him as we did. We also express our gratefulness to Dr. Peter Chang for being such a special part of the care Richard and also the Baptist Memorials Hospice for the tender care they gave Richard until he went home. Pallbearers will be Aaron Lankford, H.L. Harvey, Mike King, David Parker Sr., Joey Huffman and Jake Shanks. We love you Honey, Daddy and Paw Paw, we will see you soon!
