Bio
Edna Clara Ross, 93, of DeSoto, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Eudora. Burial will be in Bonner Springs Cemetery. Mrs. Ross died Saturday, Oct. 10, 1998, at the Eudora Nursing Center. She was born Nov. 7, 1904, in Duncan, Neb., the daughter of Frank and Mary Brygg Czapla. She moved to DeSoto in 1937. Mrs. Ross was a graduate of Grand Island, Neb., Business College. She owned and operated Ross Electric & Plumbing in DeSoto for 60 years, from 1937 to 1997. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, the St. Theresa Society, the DeSoto Chamber of Commerce, the Jewett Pleasant Hour Club and the DeSoto Pleasant Hour Club. She married Floyd Milan Ross on June 25, 1925, in Hastings, Neb. He died in 1948. Survivors include a son Robert Mile Ross, DeSoto; seven grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. Three sons and one daughter died in infancy.
