-m-6-10-1978 Debra "French" & later divorced in 1995. -m-8-15-2007 2nd Pamela Sue "Stewart". s/o Joseph & Oma Deborah "Metcalf" Vasko. Interned 4-1-2022, with a military burial at Marion National. A memorial service was held 4-2-2022 at Riverview Church, Alexandria, Ind. Charles was stationed in Germany not Vietnam, which is notated on his stone. Charles Edward Vasko, age 67, born in La Follette, Tn, passed away at his home in Anderson, Ind on March 10, 2022. He was born on June 30, 1954, to Joe and Oma Vasko. Charles passed away at home in the care of his loving wife of 15 years, Pamela Stewart Vasko, after an extended illness. Also surviving is his bonus daughter Melissa James (Dan), two grandchildren Luke and Katelyn James, brothers, Donald Vasko of Kentucky, Kenneth Vasko (Mary) of Missouri, and Gary Vasko (Julia) of Missouri, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father, Joe Vasko, mother, Oma (Metcalf) Vasko, and nephew, Ronald Vasko. Charles was a veteran in the United States Army, stationed in Germany. He went to the Army in 1973. He loved riding his Harley Davidson when he was still able to ride. He attended Riverview Church for almost three years. Before his illness, he was a foreman, welder, mechanic for a concrete company in Arizona. He could do any job you put in front of him. He moved to Anderson in April 2019 and was loved by everyone he met. A memorial service with Pastor Ed Drews officiating will be announced at a later date. Cremation services were handled by Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson.
