Bio

The white cloud globe Thursday January 25th 1917 ● Samuel Nathan Johnson who for about eighteen years eas either county treasurer or deputy, died at his home in Troy, January 13th 1917 at the age of 72. He was deputy treasurer under Mike Bauer, Sam Moyer, And Robert Flickinger. For many years he had been blind, but he learned to go up town alone. Mr. Johnson was born in Park Indiana, March 6 1844. He enlisted At the breaking out of the Civil War and served as an artilleryman in Missouri. He was married to Mrs. Ellen A McLinn of Lexington Missouri January 1 1866. Beside his wife he leaves one son, H B Johnson, of New York, a daughter, Miss Helen, of Troy, and one grandson, Samuel Johnson who teaches in the Severance High School. Funeral Services were conducted at the house Monday afternoon by Rev W M Rogers, of Robinson. Internet was at Mount Olive Cemetery.
