The Times (Shreveport, Louisiana) Thursday - 14 March 1940 pg5 FUNERAL FOR FIVE VICTIMS OF STORM SUNDAY' Funeral services for the five white victims of Tuesday's storm here will be held today as rehabilitation work gets under way in the stricken areas. Rites for Mrs. Harriett Adeline Armstrong, 46, of 2324 Queen's Highway, a sister-in-law of Police Chief M. Grady Williamson, will be held at 10 am today at the Wellman Funeral Home with the Rev. B. F. Rogers, pastor of the Mangham Memorial Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Surviving Mrs. Armstrong are one daughter: Thomasine Armstrong Five brothers: Edgar Johnson of Shreveport J. M. Johnson of Leesville C. H. Johnson of Rosepine W. H. Johnson of Rosepine G. M. Johnson of Lavonia Three sisters: Mrs. S. O. Lillidahl of Rosepine Mrs. J. W. Bailey of Rosepine Mrs. J. L. Bake of Fort Worth, Texas Thomasine was about 20 when her mother died - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The Times (Shreveport, Louisiana) Wednesday - 18 September 1946 pg6 BODDIE - ARMSTRONG Announcement is made today of the marriage of Miss Thomasine Armstrong, daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Thomas Armstron, to Dudley Harbin Boddie of Morgan City, Louisiana, son of the Rev. and Mrs. David Baker Broddie of Morgan City. The ceremony was performed September 11, 1946, at 8 o'clock in the morning in the parlors of the Noel Memorial Methodist Church. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. David Baker Boddie, assisted by his son, the Rev. Wyatt David Boddie. The bride wore a chocolate brown suit with a small feather hat and carried a white Testamemt topped with gardenias. Her only attendant was Miss Jean Nordstrom and his best man was George B. Boddie. They went on their wedding trip to Nashville, Tennessee where the bride groom will study for his Master's degree at Peabody College. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - The Times (Shreveport, Louisiana) Tuesday - 16 December 1997 pg16 THOMASINE ARMSTRONG BODDIE SHREVEPORT, LA - Funeral services for Thomasine Armstrong Boddie, 77, will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, December 17, 1997, at Noel Memorial United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Dr. Grayson Watson, Senior Minister. Burial will be in Forest Park West. Mrs. Boddie, a resident of Shreveport, died December 14, 1997, at he residence after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Boddiue was born in Shreveport. She was a retired music teacher, member, Sunday School Teacher and Choir member at Noel Memorial United Methodist Church. She was a member of United Methodist Women; graduate of Centenary College and also studies at Peabody College and Eastman School of Music. She was active in the Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts and P. T. A. Mrs. Boddie is survived by her husband: Dudley Harbin Boddie Her son: Thomas Harbin Boddie Her daughter: Harriett Ellen Boddie Sibley
