Larry James Matlock, 69, of El Campo, passed away February 7, 2022. He was born on August 28, 1952 in El Campo to the late Frank Matlock Sr. and Millie Orsak Matlock. Larry was a U.S. Army Veteran and a farmer. He is survived by his brothers, Frank Matlock Jr. and wife Marie and Jerry Matlock; sister, Joyce Hensley and husband Larry; nephew, Patrick Matlock and wife Crystal; nieces, Audrey Staff and husband Michael, Gena Roy and great-nieces and nephew, Mackenzie Matlock, Madisyn Matlock, Makayla Staff, Jeremy Roy and Abby Roy. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Emil Matlock and sister-in-law, Peggy Matlock. Private graveside services with military honors under the auspices of the American Legion Post 251 will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Park in El Campo. Pallbearers will be Frank Matlock, Jerry Matlock, Patrick Matlock, Larry Hensley, Michael Staff and Daryl Wigginton. Triska Funeral Home, El Campo, 979-543-3681
