Narka News Narka, Kansas 16 Sept 1898 ************************************************** Cerney, John Hromas and Family, Lalak move to Arkansas Wesley, Frank and Anna Cerney, John Hromas and family, A, David and Frank Lalak left Tuesday for Hazen, Ark, where they will make their future home. Wesley and Mr. Hromas went down to Arkansas last spring and purchased land which they will improve. The News wishes the boys the best of good fortune in their new home. Narka News Narka, Kansas 27 Jan 1899 *********************************************** Services Held for Aged Moran Man MORAN, Sept 27-(spl)-rites for John Hromas, 82, were held from the Moran Home Sunday afternoon, burial following in the Moran Cemetery with services conducted by Rev.J.W. Price assisted by Rev. T.L. Nipp. Mr. Hromas was born in Austria-Hungary Feb. 2, 1855, and came to America in 1864, a lad of nine. The family settled first in Wisconsin, then moved to Kansas. There he was married to Miss Anna Chop in 1880. He moved to Shackleford county, Texas, in 1905, and had been a resident here since that time. He moved from his farm into Moran in 1931. Survivors besides his wife are four sons and three daughters: Frank, Joe and Ernest of Farwell, Tex;Mrs. W.H. Tinsley, Mrs. E.J. Tinsley of Hico; Mrs. Claude Duncan of Moran and W.C.
