Bio

CANNONVILLE -Golden Dal Johnson, 72, of Cannonville, Utah, passed away July 28, 2006, in Panguitch. He was born January 28, 1934, in Cannonville, Utah, to Irving Ammon and Dasie Campbell Johnson. He married Roxanna Chynoweth in Annabella, Utah, on February 2, 1951. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on December 2, 1963. Goldy worked at Hill Air Force Base and had an auto repair shop. After retiring from Hill Air Force Base, he and Roxanna moved back to their home town Cannonville where he continued to repair cars. He served on the city council in Cannonville for four years. Goldy was also a volunteer fireman and received many awards throughout his career for his accomplishments. He was a member of the LDS church and served in many capacities. He is survived by his wife, Roxanna, Cannonville; children, Vaughn Johnson, Clearfield; Vonita (Larry) Buttars, Pleasent View; Rock Johnson, Layton; Gene (Barbara) Johnson, West Point; Shane Johnson, Cannonville; Kyle Johnson, Rosamond, CA; and Susan (John) Bell, Rosamond, CA; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; sisters, Jan Larson, Seattle, WA; Dixie (Donald) Munson, SLC; Collette (Edward) Liddell, SLC; and Karol (Gary) Robinson, Sparks, NV. He was preceded in death by his son and namesake, Golden Lynn; parents; brothers, Dorr, Ven, Dean, Daniel and Claren; sister, Ardis, and brother-in-law, Horace Larson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2006, at 11 a.m. in the Cannonville LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the ward chapel in Cannonville on Tuesday morning from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Georgetown Cemetery. Added by Ryan Moore on Mar 12, 2008 10:07PM
