Kenneth Turpin "Turp" MAGNA - Kenneth James Turpin "Turp", age 77, a long time resident of Magna UT, passed away Monday Aug 13th, 2007 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He was born Sept 17th, 1929 in SLC, UT to James Moroni Turpin and Annie Luella Rosenlund Turpin. Kenneth served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was a life member of the V.F.W. He married Donna Margaret Oliver on Apr 27th, 1963 in Elko NV and has been happily married for 44 years. A gifted welder, he retired from the Gallagher Co. after 27 years of service. Ken was a member of the LDS church. He loved camping, boating and snowmobiling. He enjoyed working on cars, especially Chryslers. He had an awesome sense of humor and was a constant tease to everyone. Ken is survived by his wife; four children, LaVon L and (Debra), Jack and (Tonia), Kent and (Bernie) Turpin and Cherrie and (Mike) Raetz; two sisters, Kathryn Cole and Ruth Galuppo; and 11 grandchildren and six great grandchildren with one more on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son. We love you and we will dearly miss you. Graveside services will be held 12 noon Thursday, Aug. 16, 2007 at the Valley View Memorial Park, 4400 West 4100 South.
