Wake Island World War II Civilian Memorial This memorial on Wake Island in the Pacific Ocean remembers the U.S. Civilian Prisoners of War executed by the Japanese on October 7, 1943 (http://www.goldtel.net/ddxa/The98.html). The remains of the murdered civilians were exhumed and reburied in section G, site 68 at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific in Honolulu, Hawaii. Actual burial here
