(Published in The Wheeler Times, Wheeler, Texas, Volume 52, Number 13, Thursday, February 27, 1986, Page 1) Lelan Priscilla Luttrell, 86, died Sunday, Feb. 23 in Shamrock. Services were held 2:30 p.m. Tues. at First United Methodist Church. The Rev. Mike Struve, pastor, officiated. Burial was in Mobeetie Cemetery by Wright Funeral Home. Mrs. Luttrell, born in Yellville, Ark., moved to Texas in 1900. She moved to Wheeler County in 1937. She was married to Elmer Luttrell in 1919 at White Deer. He died in 1960. She was a Methodist. Pallbearers were Pete Burton, L.D. Childress, Thurman Horn, Roy Luttrell, Don Stuckey, Roy Waters. Honorary pallbearers were Ed Riley, Cliff Walker, Pierce Walker, Clarence Zybach, Elbert Zybach. Survivors include two sons, Paul of San Marcus and Pete of Sawyer, Kan.; a daughter, Lou Dean Douthit of Briscoe; a brother, Dee Fee of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
