Bio
Parents: Everitt and Vivian Hammond He married Elizabeth Jean Degnan on January 22, 1955. After his service with the Navy, he proceeded to attend Colorado State University receiving his Bachelors of Science in Zoology, his Masters in Education at the University of Northern Colorado. His career scanned the state of Colorado with his first stop at Olin Elementary as janitor, teacher, and Principal. Next came professional opportunities as principal at Galeton Elementary, Wiggins Elementary, La Jara Elementary, Monte Vista Elementary and his final stop at Beaver Elementary in Brush. He loved every child he was responsible for and enriched each life he touched. Surviving are: his wife, his children, his 5 grandchildren, and his 8 great grandchildren.
