Donna Rae Farrell July 7, 1931 - December 25, 2021 Donna Rae Farrell, daughter of Clarence Eldon and Alice Elizabeth (McKeown) Bittle was born July 7, 1931 in Harlan, Iowa. She was baptized at the First United Methodist Church in Harlan. She attended and graduated from Harlan High School. Donna enrolled into the University of Iowa where she earned her Bachelor's degree and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She then attended the University of Missouri to earn her Master's Degree. Donna taught school at Wilson Junior High in San Diego, California. She retired in 1979. She enjoyed playing cards in bridge clubs, fishing, and being with her dogs. She also liked socalizing and getting to know her neighbors. Donna died on Saturday, December 25, 2021 at Myrtue Medical Center in Harlan, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Alice Bittle, her husband Dwain Farrell, grandson Nick Buboltz, and sister Jean Dittmer. She is survived by her daughters Leslie Peters of Shelby, Iowa; Amy and her husband Don Buboltz of Shelby, Iowa; 3 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; sister Patricia Gorton of Cedar Rapid, Iowa; special neighbors Darrell and June Weinbrandt of Shelby, Iowa; other family members; and friends Visitation JAN 2. 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM Funeral Service JAN 3. 2:00 PM Pauley Jones Funeral Home - 1304 Ninth Street - Harlan, IA 51537 Burial Shelby Cemetery - HWY M16 - Shelby Cemetery, IA
