Bio
Janice Mae Streit, 85 of Overton, Nebraska passed away Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Plum Creek Care Center in Lexington. Janice was born March 8, 1936 in Tekamah, Nebraska to Fred F. and Edith E. (Everheart) Dickson. She attended school in Overton and graduated with the class of 1954. After graduation Janice worked as a dental assistance for Dr Sayles in Overton. On April 29, 1957 she was united in marriage to Larry S Streit at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Overton. To this union eight children were born. Janice, was a stay at home mother, who loved her family, and loved her many animals, Sandy and Lady and her pet cow, named Waunita, to name a few. She loved sewing , painting and found a new interest in Genealogy. Janice loved living the farm life. She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Overton. Janice is preceded in death by her parents, husband; Larry, son; Mike and son-in-law, Mark Dolan. Interment will be in Elm Creek Catholic Cemetery in Elm Creek.
