Oct. 28, 1923, Mrs. Walker of Mobeetie Dies At Her Home The entire Mobeetie Community was saddened Tuesday when the word spread of the passing away of one of the good and highly esteemed women of that section. Mary Elizabeth Mahone was borth Oct. 12, 1884, to William Fletcher Mahone and Catherine Elizabeth Collins Mahone Love. She married Oliver Cleveland Walker in 1900. To this union seven children were born, three girls and four boys, all of whom are living and were present at the funeral of their mother. At an early age she united with the Methodist church and remained a faithful and consistent christian the remainder of her life. The funeral was attended by one of the largest crowds evern assembled at Mobeetie. This shows the hight esteem the deceased ejoyed from her neighbors and friends. Truly a good woman is gone, leaving a vacant place that never can be filled.
