Bio

Nellie M. Gibbens, 95, of Sargent died on Friday, Dec. 14, 2007, at Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Rhoad Funeral Home in Sargent with the Rev. Nancy Keller officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at Sargent. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Mrs. Gibbens was born on July 23, 1912, at Arcadia to Arthur and Mary (Swallow) Ackerman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie Gibbens, on March 11, 1989. Survivors of the immediate family include two daughters and a son-in-law, Janeane Gibbens and Shirley and Larry Young, all of Sargent, and three sons and two daughters-in-law, Arlen and Verda Gibbens of Cozad, Danny and Diana Gibbens of Sargent and Jerry Gibbens of Las Vegas.
