PALESTINE - Services for Doris Foster Lively, 90, Palestine, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Herrington/Land of Memory Funeral Home chapel, Palestine, with the Rev. Charles Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Land of Memory Cemetery. Mrs. Lively died Dec. 11, 2007, in a Palestine hospital. She was born May 11, 1917, in Denson Springs to the late Johnny and Janie Beasley Foster and was a lifelong resident of Palestine. She owned and operated Pink Puff Beaty Shop for 44 years and was a member of North Jackson Baptist Church. where she had taught Sunday school. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd L. Lively, in August 1991. Survivors include daughter, Sue Crist, Emerald Bay; sisters, Melba Powers, Longview, and Jean Caskey, Grapeland; two granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Tommy Caskey, Dewey Ferrell, Joe Ed Johnston, Bob Pickle and great-grandsons, Stephen Winkel and Jordan Winkel. Published in the Tyler Morning Telegraph on 12/14/2007.
