Private graveside services for Dorothy Sue Riggs, 88, of Winnsboro, Texas, are under the direction of McWhorter Funeral Home. Dorothy was born January 10, 1933, in Gilmer, Texas, to Archie Carl and Dessie Bernice Cross Poole and passed from this life November 5, 2021, in Gilmer, Texas. She was an abstractor at the title company for several years until her retirement. Those left to cherish her memory are her son Glenn Riggs; granddaughter, Brittany Harrison and her husband, Gary; grandson, Christopher Riggs and his wife, Rachel; and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Buster Derwin Riggs; son, Paul Douglas Riggs; and brothers, Carl Poole Jr., and James Elwyn Poole. Note: Her obit had a typo stating she was 80, however, she turned 88 in Jan. 2021. Her mother's first name was also misspelled as "Desi". It was Dessie. I have made the corrections.
