Graveside services are scheduled for 2 pm Friday, November 5, at Twin Oaks Memorial Park for George Emery McGonagill of Artesia, New Mexico. Mr. McGonagill, 87, died on November 2, 2021 at his home in Artesia. Visitation will be at Terpening & Son Mortuary from 1 to 6 pm on Thursday. Emery was born on July 2, 1934 in Carlsbad, New Mexico; the son of Alex McGonagill and Catherine Cazir McGonagill. He was a longtime resident of Artesia. He was married to Jessie McFarland on May 10, 2014 in Artesia. He was a Championship Bronc Rider in New Mexico, enjoyed dancing and was one of the most honest, straightforward people in the world. He is survived by his wife Jessie McGonagill; nephew Mike McGonagill; a special daughter Jacque McFarland; and four bonus kids.
