Sylvia J. Ratkovec (Kobza), 89, of Valparaiso, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021. She was born on December 31, 1931 in Butler County to Adolph and Rose (Pavel) Kobza. Member of Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, and PCCW. Sylvia is survived by her husband, LeRoy Ratkovec; daughters, Carolee (Lowell) Quinlan, Sharon ( Larry) Poskochil; son, David (Char) Ratkovec, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by parents, Adolph and Rose Kobza; sisters, Alice Graffis, Leona Divis; brother, Emory Kobza; grandson, Troy Quinlan. Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 AM, Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, 637 Iver St. Visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Sts. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church, 637 Iver St. with a 10:30 AM Rosary.
