Tennie Johnson was the daughter of Jesse Dudley Johnson & Dora Quintilla Taylor-Johnson. After her father died on 27th January 1919, Dora, Tennie, Amelia Mae Johnson-Baughn (sister) & Beulah Ione Johnson-Sutton (Sister) traveled from Lamar County, Texas to Springer, Carter County, Oklahoma to visit Dora's parents, siblings and the rest of her family. While there, Tennie's appendix ruptured and she died. Tennie was only 14 years old. Tennie's Grandfather, William Benton Taylor, took care of all her funeral arrangements and his name is on her death record/index. The family buried her beside her little cousin, Odessa Trammel. Stella Trammel-Mahan, Laverta Trammel-Mahan, Margaret Trammel-Welch & Ella Trammel-Wood stated that Tennie was buried to the right of Odessa's grave.
