Betty D. Bryant died Wednesday, July 18, 2018 in Carlsbad, New Mexico at the age of 94 years, 5 months and 11 days. She was born February 7, 1925 in Detroit, Texas to N.A. and Dora (Taylor) Whitley. She married Charlie C. Bryant in Hugo, Oklahoma in 1942. Betty ran and cooked for the Pleasant Valley Café from 1953 until 1998. She loved to play dominoes. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie; her son, Bobby; three sisters; three brothers; and 2 great-great-grandsons. Betty is survived by her daughter-in-law, Jean Bryant of Carlsbad, New Mexico; her three grandchildren, Scott Bryant and his wife, Christy of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Jennifer Nicholas and her husband, Brian of Carlsbad, New Mexico and Michelle Hamilton and her husband, Brady of Carlsbad, New Mexico; twelve great-grandchildren; three great-great-granchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and lots and lots of friends.
