Vance O. Briner, 85, of Agency, died at 4:26 a.m. August 24, 2021 at home. He was born December 31, 1945 in Mt. Ayr, IA to Burl and Violet Grim Briner. Vance married Elaine Elmer on September 28, 1963 in Mt. Ayr. Vance owned and operated a mechanic and auto body shop, and also did roofing and farm work. He enjoyed sawing wood and had his own saw mill. Surviving is his wife, Elaine; their children, Dawna McClish of Agency, Joni (Bill) Powers of Fairfield and Michael Briner of Floris; 5 grandchildren, Mariah McClish, Mataya McClish, Kaitlyn Burton, Ava Briner and Will Briner; siblings, Earl (Colleen) Briner and Greg (Doris) Briner both of Tingley, Pam (Dan) Weigel of Greenfield, Debbie Briner of Grant City, MO, and Candell Smith of Leon. He was preceded in death by 3 sons, Alan Briner and infants David and Bryan Briner; siblings, Alverta Dailey, Richard Briner, Tyrone Briner and Claudette Young. His body has been cremated.
