Machu passed away on October 4, 1986 in the Temple VA Hospital. Johnny was a crew leader of custodial services at the University of Texas, a WWII veteran, a member of the Granger American Legion Post 282, Granger SPJSt Lodge No. 20 and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Funeral services were held Monday at 2pm from the St. Mary's Church. Military graveside rites were in the Machu Cemetery.
