Bio
Her actual date of death is Unknown. The last known date she was alive was the 1900 Federal Census. She had a Widow's Pension for Cyrus Ivy service in the Civil War that was approved in 1899 and it does not show the date it was stopped which would show her date of death. FYI: 26 Apr 1904 that is inscribed on the tombstone is incorrect. When later descendant's put the marker for her grave they relied on information from the County Clerk's office in Angelina County, Texas. There was a Mrs. M A Ivy that died 4/27/1904 but that was Martha Ann Gilliland Boykin Ivy that was married to her step-son, Jesse Elliott Ivy(my great grandfather). The records from Gipson Funeral Home support that information. That burial was in Boykin Cemetery not Ivy Cemetery. There is a copy of the Record of Funeral #569 on her Find A Grave Memorial #32858606 (Martha Ann Gilliland Boykin Ivy). Submitted by Linda Ivy O'Neal Jinkins (great-great granddaughter of Cyrus K.
