Bio

Polly Ann Flatt, 77, of Woodson, TX, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021. A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, September 24, 2021, at the First Baptist Church, Woodson Tx. Burial will follow services at the Woodson Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes. A visitation is planned from 6-7:00 PM, Thursday, September 23, 2021, at the funeral home, 107 N Austin, Throckmorton, TX. Polly was born July 16, 1944, in Monahans, TX, to Anna Mae and William Grigry. She married Gary Flatt on February 1,1969 in Monahans. Polly was a member of the First Baptist Church and taught Sunday school. She loved children and was a mother to all. She loved to bake and cook, especially for those in need. She is survived by her husband, Gary Flatt of Woodson; two daughters, Carrie Young and husband Dan of Florida, and Melodie Babineaux and husband Tim of Orange; three sons, Travis Flatt and wife Lisa, Craig Flatt and wife Meredith, both of Victoria, and Brandon Flatt of Orange; 10 grandchildren; two brothers, Leon Grigry, Wayne Grigry and wife Becky, both of Monahans; and two sisters, Billie Ragan of Odessa, and Donna Hunt of Mancos Colorado. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Anna Grigry; granddaughter, Adrien Young; brother J.D. Grigry; and two sisters, Ruth Adams, Mary Nall.
